Ripples of Connection: A Fall Webinar Presentation Series Dive into Vocabulary Projects that Surround and Uplift Us.

 

Please join us NIKLA's Respectful Terminology Platform Project for a series of webinars taking place between October 25th and Dec 2nd 2024 with the first webinar happening this Friday, October 25th. Discussions will focus on a series of project related to the creation, maintenance, and modification of structured vocabularies.

Session 2: Community-building through international collaboration on multilingual LOD vocabulary: Nomenclature for Museum Cataloging. Nathalie Guénette and Trang Dang, Canadian Heritage Information Network (CHIN) November 4th


Session 3: Using Linked Data to Improve LGBTQ+ Description. Bri Watson and K.J. Rawson, Homosaurus. November 19th


Session 4: Revising Legacy Vocabulary: Interim updates to Indigenous related terminology in the Canadiana Collections. Jason Friedman and Natalie MacDonald, Canadian Research Knowledge Network (CRKN). December 2nd
